Schedule: Monday to Friday
Compensation: $125,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year

This position is located in Oregon. Work is accomplished through combination of home office, on site with client, and OMEP office. No relocation assistance is provided.

Summary 

OMEP is a non-profit organization that partners with Oregon’s small and mid-sized manufacturers to help them build successful businesses. Building on our strong foundation in lean methodologies, our team of real-world manufacturing experts tackles challenges faced by companies. Our focus areas include Manufacturing Operations, Business Financials & Strategy, and Workforce Solutions.

As a Senior Consultant at OMEP, you will work closely with Oregon manufacturing companies, with an emphasis in serving Southern Oregon companies. Your primary responsibility will be to address business challenges and implement systems for continuous improvement. You will collaborate with manufacturers to enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and drive growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform client assessments to identify areas for improvement within OMEP’s practice areas.
  • Work with client management to develop scopes of work agreeable to client and OMEP. Write service agreements for work to be performed.
  • Deliver consulting services including training of client employees in lean implementation, facilitating and training client continuous improvement teams, and assisting in improvement projects.
  • Create and/or deliver workshops on continuous improvement.
  • Have or develop ability to provide consulting services in one other OMEP practice area (Workforce or Business Financials and Strateg

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build rapport and credibility with diverse stakeholders, including business owners, executives, technical staff, factory floor employees, and government agencies.
  • In depth understanding of lean manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Utilization of business financial analytics, as well as the ability to read and understand financial statements.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing management systems – ERP/MRP
  • Previous consulting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business). Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement in manufacturing. (Required)
  • In-depth understanding of lean principles and tools to create improvement. (Required)

  • Lean manufacturing: 5 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
