Calling all Direct to Consumer Manufacturers
Built Oregon has Launched an Oregon Products Online Marketplace, and You’re Invited to Join
All Oregon-based direct-to-consumer manufacturers are invited to join the Built Oregon Marketplace.
As a not-for-profit Built Oregon has established a low-cost route to market that showcases local sellers, amplifies products, and enables the larger consumer product eco-system to participate. The Built Oregon Marketplace will become the consumer’s guide to discovering Oregon founded products and is an online destination for consumers and trade to connect with Oregon’s established and emerging consumer product entrepreneurs.
Shoppers can purchase items from a variety of individual manufacturers all in one place. Gift cards are also available – a great way to support local businesses over the holidays.
This platform can give your brand exposure to a wider audience seeking Oregon made products. The effort extends far beyond Portland – goods are organized by region, including the Oregon Coast, Portland Region, Willamette Valley, Mt. Hood & Gorge, Central Oregon, Southern Oregon, and Eastern Oregon. Although the site launched a few weeks ago, new profiles are being added regularly.
Mitch Daugherty, Built Oregon Cofounder and Executive Director says, “The Built Oregon Marketplace is a celebration of Oregon made products and the places these products call home, how the regions shape these products, and, most importantly, the people and communities behind them. The importance of the marketplace cannot come at a more critical time.”

They see the power in “owning our backyard” from an industry standpoint, and also as a means to create more sustainable and resilient communities in Oregon.
In addition to the portal, their team runs an Accelerator Program. This a not-for-profit (no cost + no equity taken) consumer product accelerator, launched June of 2019. They also created a Bridges program to connect product companies founded by People of Color with retail buyers.
