Proactively understanding the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”) loan review decision and appeal process might be the difference between receiving forgiveness and being required to pay back the loan in full.
Although we believe the SBA will forgive most loans under $150,000, larger loans, especially those over $2 million will be scrutinized. Borrowers must begin to understand the review and appeal process at the time of submission of the forgiveness application—way before receiving notice of an SBA loan review decision.
Carmen Calzacorta, David Ebel, Dan Eller, and Craig Russillo will share an overview of the PPP loan forgiveness and appeals process as well as what they are hearing from banks and other government agencies around about the forgiveness process.
