This presentation will highlight lessons learned through the Industry, Education and Workforce Partnership to understand the skills gaps and barriers that existed in transitioning high school students successfully from the classroom to the workplace. SEDCOR members played a vital role in helping us learn about and understand these barriers. We used that information to develop a regional strategic plan. Participants will learn about Oregon Employability Skills, the BOLI approved Student Learner Plan, the Willamette Career Academy, and how we use a software system, Transeo Jobs, to bring employers and students together.
