Clackamas Academy of Industrial Sciences (CAIS) & Oregon City School District Programs of Study Tour

This event is hosted by Women in Manufacturing Oregon Chapter.

CAIS is a 6-12 Charter School in Oregon City School District. They have two different pre-apprenticeship programs; woods/manufacturing and metals. In addition their is a machining shop and a small engine automotive program. Students can start welding and working in the wood shop in the 6th grade. Students who attend are geared towards careers in the trades and agriculture. They are serious and invested in their futures.

Attendees will be greeted with an introduction to CAIS and the other OCSD Programs of Study related to manufacturing, Business, Finance and Marketing. They will then tour the shop spaces and meet with students from each of these programs to learn about their experiences and to connect to potential future employees. Our goals are to provide you with an overall view of each program and find ways to connect your companies to creating work based learning opportunities such as; site tours, speakers, internships, sponsorships and more.
