WEBINAR: Defense Production Act Title III: Strengthening America’s Industrial Base

The DPA Title III presentation highlights the critical role of the Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III program in strengthening domestic manufacturing capacity and securing vital supply chains that support U.S. national defense.

Originally enacted in 1950, DPA Title III provides the federal government with authorities and funding tools such as grants, loans, loan guarantees, purchase commitments, and modernization investments to expand production capabilities in strategically important sectors including semiconductors, critical minerals, batteries, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and advanced manufacturing.

By addressing industrial shortfalls, reducing reliance on foreign suppliers, and promoting resilient domestic production, the program helps enhance military readiness, emergency preparedness, and supply chain security while creating growth opportunities for manufacturers and small businesses through supplier development, subcontracting, innovation partnerships, and workforce expansion.
