Kata Training: A Standard Method for Improvement

Join us at OMEP Headquarters in Portland, Oregon for this one day, hands-on training experience using a simulation to teach a standardized method for improvement.

Attendees will learn the building blocks of improvement that will create a problem solving culture that can tackle any issue. The standard improvement methods are as follows:

1. Understand the direction. Are your improvements in alignment with company goals and challenges? Are they impacting growth, profitability, safety, quality, delivery or development of your employees?

2. Grasping the current condition. How do we know we are working on the real problems at hand?

3. Establish a target condition. After digging into the current condition have we set the right targets that will have an impact on the business?

4. Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA). Once we have our target/goal identified how do we get there?

5. Coach your teams and create an army of problem solvers.

Is your organization developing problem solving capability in your teams? Do you have an improvement method that is repeatable and easy to understand by your employees? This class provides an excellent hands on opportunity for you to learn and practice a proven method for improvement.
